The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in maintaining community operations and achieving performance standards. This role involves developing, empowering, and inspiring associates, acting as the "Manager on Duty" (MOD) in the absence of the Community Manager, and guiding sales and leasing activities.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing
  • Greet prospective residents warmly, creating personal connections and understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Handle all incoming calls, including prospect inquiries, resident issues, and service requests.
  • Complete lease applications accurately, assist with verification, and notify applicants promptly.
  • Conduct regular market surveys by visiting competitive properties and staying informed about rents, specials, and events.
  • Maintain accurate data in information systems, manage Entrata tasks and leads, and prepare leasing reports.
  • Ensure the office, clubroom, models, and units are in excellent condition.
  • Assist with social media advertising and move-in preparations.
  • Be knowledgeable about the neighborhood to share relevant information with prospects and residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Operational Standards
  • Accept rents, make deposits, and maintain accurate records in Yardi.
  • Update reports daily, participate in revenue management calls, and oversee duties of Concierge and Leasing Consultants as needed.
  • Complete lease and renewal paperwork, ensure compliance with policies and laws, and address other assigned duties.
Customer Service
  • Support the customer experience vision, communicate service standards, and resolve resident concerns promptly.
  • Assist with move-ins, lease renewals, and resident transfers.
  • Contribute to resident satisfaction initiatives and perform property inspections.
  • Uphold Mill Creek’s mission, values, and brand promise.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of multi-family leasing or related property management experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in English, Microsoft Office, Entrata, Yardi, and revenue management software.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, operate office equipment, and travel between communities if necessary.
