Job summary

CoStar Group, Atlanta-based, is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Analyst to join the Lease Services team. You will review commercial leases, abstract data into CoStar Real Estate Manager, and ensure accurate summaries of terms, rent, and obligations.

The role requires strong reading comprehension and contract knowledge. Located in Atlanta, the position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of experience in high-volume legal document review, contract analysis, or legal summarization.
• Exceptional reading comprehension and ability to synthesize complex contracts.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lease Analyst to join our Atlanta-based Lease Services team. The Lease Services department provides recurring and project-based lease abstraction services in support of our customers. In this role the candidate will review and analyze commercial real estate lease agreements and effectively summarize critical data, such as lease terms, options, rent and other expenses, maintenance responsibilities and other legal obligations, into the CoStar Real Estate Manager lease management application. The ideal candidate will have strong reading comprehension and analytical skills, experience working with legal/real estate contracts, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. This position is based in the Atlanta office Monday through Friday.

RESPONIBILITIES

• Review and interpret commercial leases, amendments, licenses, and related real estate documents
• Abstract commercial real estate leases and supporting lease documents into CoStar Real Estate Manager’s application by following instructions and training materials
• Effectively summarize data without compromising legal intent or meaning
• Recognize and accurately abstract critical data elements such as: Dates – Calculating all dates
• Lease Option Types
• Rent and other charges – CPI, Sales Tax, Percentage Rent
• Repairs & Maintenance Obligations
• Lease Clauses - Comprehensive understanding of Lease Clauses such as Co-Tenancy, Exclusive Use, Radius Restriction, Surrender, etc.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies and raise any questions as needed
• Perform audits of key financial terms and dates to legal documents and data
• Meet or exceed daily production goals with a target of 98% or greater accuracy
• Ability and willingness to adapt to changing requirements and projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College
• Track record of commitment to prior employers
• 3+ years of experience in high-volume legal document review, contract analysis, or legal summarization
• Exceptional reading comprehension, legal literacy, and the ability to accurately synthesize complex contracts
• Ability to be work independently while working in a team environment
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
• Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Law (JD), Contract Management, English or a related analytical field
• Commercial real estate lease abstraction experience
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic
