POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lease Analyst position works under moderate, supervision to ensure land obligations are met timely and accurately. The individual will be responsible for owner inquiries, land system updates and special projects as needed. Experience in the analysis of leases, contracts, title opinions and other legal documentation to determine company ownership and obligations in leases, contracts and wells is critical to the success of the team.Special focus to be placed on:Setup, monitor, maintain and update necessary leases, contracts and well information into the company's Lease Records systemPrepare, analyze and interpret computer generated reports from the company’s Lease Records systemReview, monitor, and assist in coordination of payment recommendations and special obligation reports, taking appropriate action to maintain and protect asset baseUpdate company’s Lease Records system to reflect accurate ownershipReview all owner inquiries and provide timely feedback within the company's owner management systemEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, brokers, state/government officials, and the publicCommunicate effectively with internal and external clientsMaintain employer confidence and protects corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidentialDuties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredThree (3) years minimum lease analysis experience, preferably with producing propertiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work hours as needed to meet deadlinesBasic understanding of the oil and gas industry, general understanding of Lease Records proceduresGeneral understanding of varied lease/land software programsExperience with Enertia software preferred, not requiredProficient in computer applications including Microsoft OfficeExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferredExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to research information, with good analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to conduct independent research online records (state commission websites, county recorders, assessors, etc.) and of physical files to confirm the accuracy of the information represented in lease and well schedulesAttention to detail, efficiency, flexibility and ability to coordinate well with others are critical skills for the success of this role on the teamAbility to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precisionExperience in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Appalachia assets preferred, not required.Physical Demands:Able to lift up to 20 poundsSitting most of the time, but may require walking or standing for brief periods of timeWork Environment and Dress Requirements:Hybrid and business casual dress
