The Lease Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate lease data, interpreting lease language for real estate and legal projects. This role ensures compliance with lease terms, supports teams with critical lease data, and plays a key part in the day-to-day operations of the real estate department. This position is a key team member of the Lease Administration team acting as a liaison with internal departments such as Finance, Legal, Design and Construction as well as external partners such as landlords and property managers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Abstract and interpret lease documents, including fully executed leases, amendments, subleases, and license agreements.
Prepare and handle lease correspondence for default notices, lease notices, violations, and collections
Manage the tracking of lease obligations within a centralized system in addition to monitoring, tracking, and reporting on critical lease dates and other pertinent lease information
Work closely with Construction, Design and Store Planning teams to monitor progress, and obtain the required documentation for Tenant Allowance to ensure invoicing and collection deadlines meet lease requirements
Responsible for compliance of contractual obligations as set forth in the Lease, but not limited to, the submission and collection of Tenant Allowance, Rent Commencement Agreements and Co-Tenancy notices
Generate reports and summaries for internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and construction teams
Support process improvements to ensure data integrity across all lease records
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience (in finance/banking/retail preferably) OR accounting/financial related college education in lieu of experience
1 – 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate or lease administration experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with lease administration software (Lucernex and Tango preferred)
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under compressed timelines
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders

The hourly range for this opportunity is $21- $25. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
This position prefers in the Akron, OH area who is available to train on-site.
