Job summary

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is seeking a Learning Technology Specialist and Mobile Simulation Lab Operator/Driver to support READY RURAL. The role combines safe operation and transportation of the mobile lab with hands-on learning technology support for simulation activities in rural communities.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, telehealth and audiovisual systems, and coordinating site logistics while driving the mobile lab to various locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, educational technology, information technology, healthcare technology, simulation operations, transportation, logistics, or related field.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license and eligible to be an authorized driver through UW System.
• Experience operating vehicles, trailers, RVs, service vehicles, mobile units, or related equipment.
• Experience setting up, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment, technology, audiovisual tools, healthcare training equipment, or instructional technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Supports data collection, organization, interpretation, and dissemination to identify instructional program needs.
• Assists with design and development of multimedia learning materials.
• Researches, designs, and procures learning resources and technologies to support learning.
• Provides faculty development and engagement program support.
• Offers basic training and technical support to learners in classrooms, labs, clinics, and distance learning settings.
• Performs initial edits and updates of instructional materials.
• Provides consultation and training for learning technology tools and platforms.
• Contributes to engaging, effective learning experiences across in-person, blended, and online formats.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots learning technologies and provides feedback.
