Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York seeks a full-time Staff Associate / Learning Technology Support Coordinator for the School of Public Health. Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. DOE or international accreditation.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and AV technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts across a wide range of key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for faculty within the School of Public Health.
• Assist with development and maintenance of course sites at the beginning of each semester (course copying, gradebook setup, module setup, linking external materials).
• Support and develop test banks for quiz creation and Panopto video/caption editing.
• Provide Brightspace orientation for new faculty and one-on-one technical support for existing faculty.
• Ensure courses align with SUNY compliance criteria with the OSCQR framework.
• Train, schedule, and supervise student assistants in AV support and coordinate coverage.
• Resolve AV/tech incidents in classrooms and offices; operate AV equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with SPH Liaison to the Division of Information Services.
