Job summary

Pennridge School District in Perkasie, PA seeks a Teaching Assistant - Learning Support to support students with diverse needs under the direction of teachers and administrators.

This 10-month, full-time bargaining unit position includes a 60-day probation, and compensation per the PESPA agreement. Candidates must have PA State Credential of Competency and an Associate degree (bachelors preferred). CPI training provided.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania State Credential of Competency.
• Associates degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Ability to relate to students with diverse learning, physical and emotional needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional program under teacher direction.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials for the educational program.
• Observe and record student data for IEP progress.
• Assist with positive behavior supports and fire drills.
• Assist with technology applications for students.
• Assist with self-care needs of students and escort as needed.
• Provide individual and small group instructional assistance.
• Assist in supervising students and emergency situations.
