Job summary

AMIkids in Tampa, FL seeks a Learning Specialist to design, organize, and deliver training content and follow-up activities. The role requires developing and facilitating courses for multiple programs, coordinating with SMEs, and ensuring effective learning through assessments.

Responsibilities include managing registrations, preparing documentation, and applying adult learning principles. Travel up to 50% and ongoing professional development are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• One-year training and development experience required.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct trainings based upon needs of AMIkids, programs, and stakeholders.
• Plan, manage and facilitate learning courses in both live and virtual settings.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop training solutions.
• Organize training events; prepare training agendas, schedules, and related administrative tasks.
• Assist with managing registration for training events.
• Provide training documentation to attendees and Programs at the completion of trainings.
• Ensure adult learning principles are integrated into all learning content.
• Create and evaluate examinations to gauge trainee knowledge and abilities.
• Assess and evaluate training effectiveness to ensure skills transfer.
• Research and maintain training materials, equipment and resources.
• Implement remedial training programs as required, maintain records.
• Communicate effectively and practice active listening.
• Write reports within established timelines.
• Develop training documents using computer-based software.
• Engage in professional development to increase effectiveness.
• Practice organization, time management, and project management.
• Maintain confidentiality and strong relationships with internal and external parties.
• Attend crisis intervention and physical restraint training as defined by state/contract requirements.
• Attend CPR and First Aid certification as required.
• Drive program vehicles per AMIkids guidelines.
• Coordinate with special projects and events.
