Job summary

AMIkids, Inc. seeks a Learning Specialist to design, organize, and deliver training content across programs and stakeholders, in both live and virtual settings.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, plan events, manage registrations, and prepare agendas and training materials in a professional, learner-centered environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, one year of training and development experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and up to 50% travel.

  • One-year training and development experience required.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and facilitate learning courses in live and virtual settings.
  • Collaborate with SubjectMatterExperts to develop training solutions.
  • Organize training events; prepare agendas, schedules and related admin tasks.
  • Assist with managing registration for training events.
  • Provide training documentation to attendees and programs upon completion.
  • Ensure adult learning principles are integrated into all content.
  • Develop training documents and materials using computer-based software.
  • Assess and evaluate training effectiveness and trainee knowledge and abilities.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and curriculum-based classes.
  • Attend and maintain CPR/First Aid certification as required.

Job description

Therole of theLearningSpecialistdevelops,organizes,and deliver trainingand learning content,andconductassociated follow-up activity.

Prepareand conducttrainings based upon needs of AMIkids,programs,and stakeholders,

  • Plan, manage and facilitate learning courses inboth live andvirtual settings,
  • Collaborate and consult with SubjectMatterExperts(SME)to develop effective training solutions,
  • Organize training events;prepare training agendas, schedules, and perform training related administrative tasks,
  • Assist with managingregistrationfortraining events,
  • Providetraining documentation to attendees andProgramsat the completion of trainings,
  • Ensure adult learning principles are integrated into alllearningcontent,
  • Create and evaluate written and practical examinations to gauge trainee’s knowledge and abilities,
  • Assessand evaluatetraining effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into participant work behavior,
  • Researchand maintain appropriate training materials, equipment and resources,
  • Implement effective remedial training programs as required,
  • Maintain accurate records of training events, certifications and curriculum-based classes,
  • Effectively communicate(verbally and non-verbally)and use active listening skills,
  • Write reportsas required within established timelines,
  • Develop training documents and materials using computer-based software,
  • Participate in professional development opportunitiestoincreaseroleeffectiveness,
  • Practice effective organization, time management,andproject management skills to ensure practical and efficient direction of services,
  • Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality and develop strong working relationships withinternal and external parties,
  • Attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state and contract requirements,
  • Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization,
  • Drive program’s vehicles as required in accordance with AMIkids transportation guidelines,
  • Assist and coordinate with special projects and events as assigned.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university,
  • One-year training and development experience required,
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs,
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
