Saint Columbkille Partnership School

Saint Columbkille Partnership School, located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, educates students aged 2.9 years through Grade 8. Founded in 1901 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, the school has educated generations of local families. Saint Columbkille Partnership School was re-established in 2006 and enjoys a unique partnership with Boston College, as the Laboratory School affiliated with its Lynch School of Education and Human Development, and with the Archdiocese of Boston and Saint Columbkille Parish.

Position Description:

  • Coordinate in‑school services such as speech‑language pathology, occupational therapy, academic support, tutoring, and assistive technology.
  • Facilitate referrals to outside agencies when needed, including local public school districts, and manage the integration of learning plans from external providers.
  • Translate external IEPs or 504 Plans into actionable classroom accommodations, working closely with teachers to support successful implementation.
  • Provide direct student support, either in small groups or one‑on‑one, as appropriate to their learning needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty to deliver professional development on special education best practices and inclusive instruction.
  • Conduct preliminary academic and cognitive evaluations and collaboratively develop individualized support plans for qualifying students.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Student Support Team to integrate academic, social‑emotional, and enrichment‑based responses to ensure every child receives the resources and supports they need to thrive.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, School Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in designing and implementing support plans for diverse learners, including experience with IEPs and 504 accommodations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with specialists, external agencies, teachers, and families.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple student support processes proactively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of inclusive and differentiated instructional strategies.
