Job summary

University of New Hampshire (Manchester campus) invites applications for an adjunct hourly student researcher in the Suh Lab. The student will participate in guided bioprinting research involving human stem cells to generate organoids for pharmacological screening under an NIH R15 grant.

• Willing to work during summer and winter breaks as requested by the PI.
• Handling bio- and chemical-hazardous materials, wastes, sharps, extreme temperature materials; materials ≤ 40 lbs. Training provided for safety.

The UNH Manchester campus employs eligible students through an NIH R15 grant (Principal Investigator Dr. Won Hyuk Suh). Students will work in Dr. Won Hyuk Suh's lab to learn and practice guided research involving the bioprinting of human stem cells.

Duties / Responsibilities

• The Suh Lab research projects focus on developing novel bioprinting methodologies for producing human stem cell–based organoids optimized for pharmacological screening.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in a Life Sciences degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will be able to continue with this position long-term, over multiple semesters.
• Faculty recommendation is required.
• Student will need to have prior or current tissue culture or qPCR experience.
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, as needed.
• Willingness to work during summer and winter breaks, as requested by their Principal Investigator.
• This position will require handling materials including bio- and chemical hazardous materials, hazardous wastes, sharps materials, extreme temperature materials, materials ≤ 40 lbs. Training is provided as required for safety in workplace operations.
• Applicants must be able to don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as related to and required by their duties.
