Job Title: Learning Operations Coordinator

Reports To: Manager, Learning Operations

FLSA Status: Part-Time

Summary

The Learning Operations Coordinator is a part-time, evening and weekend role (15 hours or less per week) in the Learning Innovation department. This position is responsible for supporting trainers as they deliver learning programs in live online training environments. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule which will include evening, weekend, and occasional day shifts. Responsibilities occasionally require an adjusted work schedule to meet varying class schedules.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

The Learning Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring trouble-free operations of live online training by providing in-class support. The coordinator must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.

Successful candidates will bring prior experience working in a customer service role with demonstrated troubleshooting skills and flexibility to pivot when needed. The coordinator must have knowledge of or exposure to video conferencing platforms such as Zoom/Microsoft Teams.

Essential Functions

  1. Greet participants entering live online training.
  2. Assist instructor with monitoring student attendance, student progress, student discipline and other topics that arise during training.
  3. Assist instructor with promoting student engagement in digital classroom.
  4. Provide guidance to participants via chat, emails, calls, and texts on topics, including using a digital classroom, downloading course materials, completing activities, and testing.
  5. Troubleshoot technical support issues, including any audio or video issues.
  6. Collaborate with other Learning Innovations team members and escalate issues as needed.
  7. Stay up to date on the latest processes and resources provided by Learning Operations.
  8. Attend weekly Learning Operations L10 meetings as needed.
  9. Other projects as assigned.

Computer Skills

  1. Must have 1+ years of experience with customer service.
  2. Must have knowledge of or exposure to video conferencing software.
  3. Must be competent in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
  4. Must be competent in all functions of the standard issued Alliance Safety Council computer software.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the Learning Operations Coordinator, the employee must be able to withstand performing typical office work, which involves extended periods of sitting at a computer station and performing computer-related work, which generally involves repetitive motion tasks on a computer keyboard and viewing of multiple monitors for prolonged periods. The employee must also be able to stand for extended periods of time, be able to regularly walk, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Mental Demands

While performing the duties of the Learning Operations Coordinator, the employee must be able to function in a high-pressure environment and meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks; prioritize work; and meet deadlines in a stressful and fast-paced environment. This employee will work regularly with remote teams, across and outside of the organization.

Work Schedule

The Learning Operations Coordinator is expected to work evening, weekend, and occasional day shifts. This role is a remote position with some travel expected for in-person meetings.
