Job summary

Ascendium Education Group seeks a Senior Learning and Impact Officer to lead a portfolio of research and evaluation grants within the Education Philanthropy team. You will shape how learning informs investments in workforce development, sectoral training programs, and postsecondary education to expand mobility for low-income learners.

You’ll report to the Director of Learning and Impact and collaborate across strategies to strengthen the organization’s learning priorities and grantmaking

Qualifications

• Master’s degree, Ph.D., or EdD in sociology, economics, education, policy, or related field.
• Seven+ years of progressive evaluation experience in workforce development or higher education.
• Expertise with quantitative methods to infer causality; comfort with qualitative methods.
• Expertise in mixed-methods research and evaluation design.
• Experience centering equity in research processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Learning-fueled strategy development and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate on Expand Opportunity strategy for education/workforce pathways.
• Develop and execute learning agendas and theories of change.
• Manage and advance learning from grant investments and research portfolios.
• Provide consultation to strengthen learning across the grantmaking team.
