Qualifications

This role is based in Salt Lake City, UT and has a hybrid work model.Summary:The Learning Experience Designer I supports the development of engaging, effective learning solutions that help employees build knowledge, skills, and confidence in their roles. Working closely with subject matter experts and senior team members, this position assists in analyzing learning needs, designing instructional content, and creating training experiences that align with business objectives. Responsibilities include developing eLearning courses, learning materials, practice activities, and digital training assets while ensuring content is accurate, learner-focused, and easy to understand. This role operates on a hybrid basis based in Salt Lake City, UT.Principal Responsibilities:Identify and prioritize performance needs in collaboration with subject matter experts and senior team membersDevelop practice activities/scenarios with feedback and guidance from senior team members and subject matter expertsDevelop, evaluate, revise, and enhance learning experience materialsDevelop training assets (e.g., graphics and videos)Work on assigned projects under guidanceOrganize and write technical documents and research materialsMinimum Qualifications:Degree or work experience in instructional design, technical writing, education, or similar fieldExcellent written communication skillsStrong editing/proofreading skillsExperience developing online coursesAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentAbility to adapt to changing information quicklyPreferred Qualifications:Experience maintaining courses in a Learning Management SystemWorking knowledge of graphic design principlesExperience with digital content creation using Adobe Creative CloudAbility to write HTML and CSS (any JavaScript knowledge is a huge plus)Experience with online learning authoring tools, like Articulate StorylineEssential Job Functions:Organizing and coordinating information and deadlinesCreating written communicationFrequent computer useSitting for long periods of timeConcentrating for long periods of timeOur Company:As one of Utah's Top Places to work, IAED is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
