Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to create engaging learning experiences for associates at apartment properties and corporate offices across the country.

You will design blended learning solutions, apply adult learning principles, and collaborate with subject matter experts to close skill gaps, while managing content development projects and LMS administration. Remote work may be possible for some roles, with weekly on-site opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of instructional design experience using blended learning methods.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory.
• Proficient with Articulate 360.
• Hands-on experience with Vyond or Camtasia.
• Experience analyzing learning data sets.
• Ability to manage project plans and content development timelines.
• Experience maintaining a learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning solutions using multiple modalities (eLearning, microlearning, instructor-led training, on-site experiences).
• Apply adult learning theory and collaborate with SMEs to close skills gaps.
• Use project management to manage content development projects of varying scope.
• Continuously improve design standards by tracking industry trends and efficacy metrics.
• Serve as a Learning Management System expert to optimize user experience.
• Develop assessments to measure learning effectiveness and iterate content.

Position Summary

As a Learning Experience Designer at RPM Living, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing learning experiences for employees at RPM Living’s apartment properties and corporate offices across the country. You’ll use a variety of learning modalities (eLearning, microlearning, instructor-led courses, on-site experiences, and more) to support employee learning in skill areas ranging from sales, maintenance, leadership, and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning solutions that meet the needs of an operational environment using a blend of learning modalities such as eLearning, instructor-led training, microlearning videos, on-the-job training, and more.
• Apply adult learning theory to design process; collaborate with subject matter experts to incorporate feedback and recommend ways to effectively close skills gaps across of a variety of role types.
• Use project management skills to manage small to medium-scale content development projects.
• Continuously improve team learning design standards by staying ahead of industry trends and bringing practices that support learning efficacy, and content development efficiency.
• Serve as a Learning Management System expert and super-user, maximizing the technology for an optimal learning experience.
• Develop knowledge assessments to understand learning effectiveness and opportunities. Continually improve content based on assessment results and feedback.

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of experience in instructional design using blended learning methods
• Deep understanding of adult learning theory
• Demonstrated proficiency with Articulate 360
• Hands on experience in Vyond, Camtasia, or similar video tools
• Demonstrated experience analyzing learning related data sets
• Ability to create and follow project plans to ensure on-time content development
• Experience maintaining a learning management system
• Experience creating learning solutions for an operational audience is a plus
• Ability to build collaborative partnerships in a virtual environment

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
• Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
• May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
• Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

• If the associate is not located near one of our offices, the role may be eligible for remote work.
• The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
