Job summary

The International Baccalaureate (IB) seeks a Learning Designer, Professional Development to shape innovative digital learning experiences and expand the reach of IB's professional learning portfolio for educators worldwide. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and design learning journeys across modalities to achieve impactful outcomes.

You will apply instructional design best practices, work with adult learners, and maintain high digital quality standards while exploring emerging

Qualifications

  • Experience with digital content, LMS and authoring tools.
  • Experience designing learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design practices and education technologies.
  • Excellent IT, information management and organisational skills.
  • Collaborative and innovative approach to digital learning design.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and perspectives.
  • Project management experience and international education exposure are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging professional learning experiences with IB educators and stakeholders.
  • Create learning journeys across multiple modalities to meet outcomes.
  • Develop and revise digital content and online courses from stakeholder feedback.
  • Create prototypes, storyboards and learning solutions for implementation.
  • Produce multimedia assets including interactive modules, videos and infographics.
  • Perform quality assurance and UX audits to improve products.

Salary: €64,051 - €80,064 EUR | $84,314 - $105,393 USD, negotiable depending on experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term until 31 May 2028, 40 hours per week

Location: Washington DC, USA | The Hague, Netherlands

Hybrid working: Hybrid, open to considering all hybrid working patterns

As Learning Designer, you will shape innovative digital learning experiences, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help expand the reach and impact of the IB's professional learning portfolio for educators worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IB educators, learning teams and stakeholders to design engaging professional learning experiences.
  • Design learning journeys across multiple modalities to achieve learning outcomes and enhance participant experience.
  • Develop and revise digital learning content and online courses based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Create and refine digital prototypes, storyboards and learning solutions for review and implementation.
  • Design and develop multimedia learning assets including interactive modules, videos and infographics.
  • Conduct learning design reviews and maintain digital quality standards across products.
  • Research emerging learning design trends, tools and approaches to support innovation.
  • Undertake quality assurance and user experience audits to improve learning products.
Qualifcations
  • Advanced degree in education, learning design, educational sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience working with digital content, learning management systems and authoring tools.
  • Experience designing learning experiences for adult learners.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design best practices and education technologies.
  • Excellent information technology, information management and organisational skills.
  • Collaborative and innovative approach to learning design within a digital environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and perspectives.
  • Project management experience and international education exposure are desirable.
