Our Virtual First model of working is a pace-setter in terms of the future of work - while remote work is our primary experience, we come together in-person quarterly for team offsites and special learning programs.

We are seeking an exceptional learning and development leader to help build the future of learning in Virtual First - which includes innovative and impactful leadership programs that drive behavior change and business outcomes, engaging onboarding that helps our Droplets integrate faster to Dropbox, and best-in-class digital and AI-enabled learning to support employees to learn in the flow of work.

This role is part of the Learning and Organization Development team, reporting to the VP of L&OD for Dropbox. It is a high-visibility role that will influence overall learning strategy and program design. You will partner with HRBP teams, the Office of the CEO, Communications, and Virtual First teams to deliver enterprise-wide learning programs. You will manage the Learning Design team and collaborate with two Learning Business Partners to develop tailored programs for leadership and team effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is an experienced practitioner and people manager with a proven track record of designing innovative learning programs that drive behavior change. Expertise in leadership development, manager effectiveness, and digital learning/AI is essential. You should be energized by cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and facilitating engaging learning experiences. You must demonstrate agility and the ability to deliver high-quality work at speed and scale.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Office of the CEO, Virtual First, Talent Management, and HRBP teams to identify skill gaps and influence talent strategy.
  • Articulate a clear vision for learning at Dropbox within a Virtual First context.
  • Communicate learning strategy and offerings effectively through verbal and written channels.
Leadership Development
  • Develop Dropbox's leadership development vision, strategy, and curriculum with input from business leaders and HR partners.
  • Design and implement manager and HiPo programs using diverse learning modalities and vendors.
  • Facilitate learning programs as needed, especially for HiPo and managers.
Learning Innovation & Technology
  • Pilot and test innovative learning experiences.
  • Stay updated on learning technologies to build a best-in-class architecture leveraging AI, gamification, and digital content.
  • Leverage AI to personalize and streamline learning and reduce administrative tasks.
  • Lead engineering enablement initiatives using digital platforms to enhance tech skills.
Learning Design
  • Apply a product development mindset to ensure programs meet employee needs and drive outcomes in a remote environment.
  • Utilize adult learning theories and best practices for maximum engagement and behavior change.
  • Curate an organized content library supporting current and emergent learning needs.
Execution & Program Management
  • Manage a team of 5 executing various programs including HiPo, leadership development, onboarding, and digital learning.
  • Plan and execute programs with a focus on employee experience and ROI, covering all phases from discovery to feedback and metrics.
  • Partner with teams like Virtual First to integrate best practices and create self-serve resources.
  • Implement new programs with change management and engagement strategies.
Operational Excellence & Planning
  • Measure ROI and impact of all learning programs.
  • Plan resources and manage budgets to deliver a large portfolio on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in learning and development.
  • Expertise in learning strategy, leadership and employee development, and digital learning technologies including AI/ML.
  • Strong people management skills, especially in remote/hybrid settings.
  • Experienced facilitator with analytical skills to leverage insights for strategy.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with remote-first learning environments.
  • Certifications in team effectiveness, coaching, or related fields.
  • Master's Degree in I-O Psychology or related business discipline.
