Overview

ADP is hiring a Learning Design Consultant (Instructional Designer).

In this role, you will focus primarily on applying efficient and agile design approaches to develop innovative, engaging learning solutions, using ADP learning design standards and tools, to meet the learning needs of ADP associates and clients.

No two days are the same. You will create design documents, test and deploy content, conduct needs assessments across multiple business lines, establish training plans, oversee translations, measure results, and more. You will work to the highest standards with an eye on appealing to multi-generational talent and the modern learner by partnering across the learning organization to apply innovative techniques in instructional design. You can create compelling content and convey ideas and information to various levels of an organization.

To thrive in this role, you have two years of experience in the learning and development field. You have worked independently to design and develop sound training in various modalities (eLearning, instructor-led, blended, job aids, and more) and can manage simultaneous projects with deadlines. You are a continuous learner who focuses on personal development and business process improvement to our design standards. Your work will help our businesses support clients who employ one to millions of employees.

What you’ll do:

  • Innovation: Seek opportunities to apply innovative design thinking to projects and keep ADP"s approach to designing learning up to date with the products and solutions ADP offers its clients.
  • Flexibility and Agility: Adapt to changing business requirements, projects, and resources and use agile approaches to meet business needs.
  • Design: Design holistic solutions engaging team members and business partners in the design process to ensure the solution design is flexible and addresses the unique needs of the learners. Consider how the work environment impacts learning.
  • Development: Develop solutions across a broad set of learning modalities and tools without creating redundant solutions and ensure continuous learning and performance support concepts are applied.
  • Learning Outcomes: Measure outcomes and ensure learning solutions result in the intended business impact.
  • Continuous Learner: Focus on personal development to elevate professional knowledge and skill. Apply the same approach to business process improvement to improve ADP learning design standards and drive adoption. Maintain an outside-in perspective by building and maintaining peer networks inside and outside ADP.

To Succeed in This Role: Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in instructional development, adult learning theory, and/or technical writing. (Write, design, edit, and maintain documentation and training materials.)

A college degree is great but not required. What’s more important is having the skills to do the job. If you don’t have a college degree, other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above, OR

Bonus Points for These: Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using eLearning tools such as Synthesia, Captivate, Articulate 360, TechSmith Camtasia, TechSmith SnagIt, Audacity, and Vyond. Technical aptitude to quickly learn new development tools.
  • Experience conducting learning needs analysis
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (i.e., Litmos)
  • Experience with simple Graphic Design
