Job summary

Signet Jewelers is seeking a Training Supervisor for its Credit department in New York. You will supervise credit trainer(s) and coordinate training for new team members, including collectors, customer service reps and authorizers across five production units.

You will design, deliver and oversee training programs that improve revenue protection, cash flow, and customer service, while establishing performance benchmarks and measuring impact.

Assists in the supervision of credit trainer(s) who spend 80% of their time training and hourly representatives who assist the Training Dept. with New team member training. Supervises and facilitates ad hoc task forces and focus groups within entire credit department. Design, deliver and oversee training to Credit management team members. Design, deliver and oversee technical and job related training for new team members. This includes collectors, customer service representatives and authorizers in 5 production business units.

• Direct activities of trainers in the design and delivery of training within Credit. Coach and develop trainers and associates who assist in the delivery of training. Design and deliver department specific training programs that will positively impact revenue, cash flow and customer service. These include customer negotiation, call model skills. Design and deliver training to management team regarding performance tools, performance management, and team management.
• Develop, conduct and evaluate new team member training for credit production employees that enhances performance of 5 production departments within credit. Cross-trained in a minimum of two sub credit departments. Conduct and analyze needs assessments for non-exempt production employees within credit to understand performance gaps.
• Establish performance benchmarks and measure performance post training to determine impact of training conducted. Demonstrate an impact to revenue protection; expense control and employee satisfaction. Ensure delivery of Customer First service to internal and external customers through appropriate training, communication and job knowledge.
• Maintain connection to production departments by spending time performing the work of non-exempt production employees to gain firsthand knowledge and experience into the challenges faced and expectations for each position trained. Maintain currency in new training and performance improvement trends and technology. Evaluate methods and tools for application in technical and job related training within credit.
• Assist the Training Manager and Director in special projects as needed. Effective management of trainers performance and hourly employees assisting in training. Identification of performance gaps for non-exempt credit production employees. Development of technical and job related training interventions that have a measurable impact on performance of new and existing non-exempt credit production employees. Credible facilitation of training interventions.

Base pay range from $70,000 to $80,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
