Job summary

Newrez LLC in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Learning Consultant to assess training needs across channels, develop materials, implement company-wide initiatives, and measure effectiveness.

You will deliver instructor-led and web-based training, partner with subject matter experts, and design curricula and job aids to improve performance across mortgage sales and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of mortgage sales/operations experience.
• 2–5 years of professional training and classroom facilitation.
• Experience across multiple channels is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning via classroom instruction and webinars; accommodate adult learning styles.
• Deliver new hire training and other departmental programs; provide classroom and web-based instruction.
• Manage classroom environment, analyze results, and identify training gaps.
• Develop leader/participant guides, job aids, training curriculum, and coursework.
• Conduct needs analyses to align training with company objectives.
• Design exercises and assessments to reinforce learning.
• Collaborate with SMEs to revise procedures and processes.
• Explore workflow improvements and automation enhancements.

Primary Function

The Learning Consultant will be primarily responsible for the assessment of sales and operational training needs across multiple channels, development of training material, implementation and presentation of Companywide training initiatives, and measurement of training effectiveness.

Principal Duties

• Facilitate learning via classroom instruction and webinars; incorporate a variety of presentation methods and applications to accommodate adult learning styles.
• Deliver new hire training and other departmental training programs; provide creative, effective classroom and web-based instruction throughout the organization.
• Manage classroom environment, analyze results, and identify gaps in training needs.
• Develop leader and participant guides, job aids, training curriculum and other required coursework that is clear, concise, and accurate.
• Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to ensure that training fulfills the needs and objectives of the company.
• Design exercises, instructional activities and training assessments that reinforce learning.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create and revise departmental procedures through process mapping.
• Explore new ideas for improved workflow and automation enhancements.
• Support departmental initiatives and identity ways to enhance training effectiveness.
• Contribute to the overall success of the Training Dept. by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
• Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of mortgage sales and/or operations experience.
• Experience in multiple channels a plus.
• Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of professional training and classroom facilitation.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

• Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and listening skills.
• Understand adult learning principles and other learning theories and practices.
• Ability to use creative and effective instructional design techniques to deliver high-class training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attentive to details.
• Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning, and prioritization.

• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team oriented, self-motivated, and highly enthusiastic.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Working on-site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
