Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have childcare experience or related education; training available.
• Ability to communicate with children, parents and peers in a positive manner.
• Ability to supervise and plan age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Greet parents and children at drop off/pick up.
• Ensure safety of children in classroom and play areas.
• Plan and implement educational curriculum/lesson plans.
• Teach basic skills (colors, shapes, numbers, letters) and personal hygiene.
• Attend to children’s basic needs (feeding, dressing, changing diapers).
• Instruct in personal cleanliness and self-care.
• Establish and reinforce classroom rules and procedures.
• Read stories to groups or individuals.
• Provide materials for exploration and play.
• Organize activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
