Job description

Summary:

This position i s a global role within the Global Learning & Development (L&D) team, responsible for identifying training needs, designing, designing curriculum, and delivering structured training programs that enhance employees' skills and performance, and support the adoption of business systems, applications, tools, and processes across the organization. This role plays a key role in onboarding new hires, enhancing employee capabilities, facilitating smooth transitions during mergers and acquisitions, supporting global project roll-outs, and driving the successful implementation of new tools and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills gaps and learning opportunities.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, and resources to support learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Design and deliver impactful, learner-centered training programs and curricula across key business areas
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring participants have a positive and interactive learning experience.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to reinforce learning and development.
  • Lead onboarding and operational training for new hires and newly launched branches
  • Provide training and integration support during mergers and acquisitions, helping new teams transition smoothly into OIA’s operational framework.
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to align training initiatives with organizational goals
  • Partner with project managers to align training deliverables with global roll-out plans.
  • Track and maintain training records, attendance, and performance metrics
  • Track and report on training metrics and KPIs to measure the impact and ROI of training programs and develop appropriate modifications if needed
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.
  • Support change management initiatives by applying organizational change principles and reinforcing training as a change enabler.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, Learning & Development, logistics & supply chain, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory , and training methodologies.
  • Knowledge of instructional design software and multimedia tools for content creation (Adobe Captivate or equivalent).
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners
  • Analytical skills to help evaluate learning outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft productivity tools (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of CargoWise TMS and Oracle Fusion.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate training, instructional design, or similar operational roles in the logistics or Supply Chain industries.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools, particularly Adobe Captiva.
  • Experience in CargoWise TMS and/or Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Experience in the freight-forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry is highly desirable.
  • CCMP, Prosci, or similar change management certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift to 30lbs/15 kg
  • 20% travel required
