Telling a student who scored 99% that they haven't yet passed is one of the most supportive things you can do.
The reason isn't perfectionism. It's respect—the belief that they're capable of even more.
Traditional schools shield students from failure. Alpha equips them for achievement. We're convinced that confidence doesn't come from lowered standards. It emerges when students accomplish what they previously believed impossible. This conviction informs everything we do.
Our approach is intentionally unconventional. Students progress through academics autonomously via AI-driven platforms, which allows adults to concentrate on what transforms lives: character coaching, resilience building, leadership cultivation, and habit formation that drives exceptional results. Content delivery doesn't require adults. We need leaders capable of drawing out people's highest potential.
This position anchors that mission. You'll cultivate the Guides who engage students directly, transforming them into outstanding coaches instead of traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills sessions that students recall years afterward. You'll analyze performance metrics to pinpoint where students or Guides need support and coach them toward excellence. You'll simultaneously lead your own student group, embodying the standards you uphold for others.
The cascading impact is substantial. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Every enhancement you bring to campus culture multiplies across hundreds of young lives. Success isn't determined by meeting attendance or report volume. It's defined by whether students become more confident, disciplined, resilient, and capable due to the culture you cultivated.
This position isn't for those seeking to maintain existing educational structures. It's for individuals who believe young people merit more than compliance, seat time, and mediocre expectations. If coaching people through challenging situations energizes you, if you leverage data for better decisions, and if you maintain high standards from genuine belief in others' capabilities, you'll excel here.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and coach Guides to execute Alpha's coaching methodology with reliability, enthusiasm, and uncompromising quality standards.
- Facilitate dynamic life skills workshops addressing communication, concentration, feedback reception, leadership development, and resilience for K-8 students using established frameworks.
- Analyze student and Guide performance metrics to surface coaching opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and produce quantifiable improvements weekly.
- Conduct motivational sessions that empower every student to embrace ambitious objectives and consistently reach them.
- Lead your own student cohort while demonstrating the coaching quality and accountability you require from all Guides.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Delivering academic instruction. Students advance through core academics autonomously via AI-powered learning platforms.
- Developing lesson plans or curriculum design. Your focus is exemplary coaching, not instructional content creation.
- Managing classrooms via lectures, worksheets, or behavior management systems. Students direct their own learning while you coach the habits enabling success.
- Reducing standards to sidestep challenging discussions. Elevated expectations and authentic belief in each student's capacity are inseparable.
- Defining success by activity volume rather than outcomes. Impact matters more than effort by itself.
