Purpose

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing and driving Core Bank’s learning culture through Core University—our internal learning and development program. This role builds the systems, programs, and pathways that empower employees to grow their skills, advance their careers, and deliver on our Vision of being a high‑performing, tech‑forward, solutions‑based community bank.

Key Responsibilities
Core University Leadership
  • Own and continuously evolve Core University as the central learning and development hub of the bank.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer and senior leaders to align learning initiatives with organizational priorities, Core Values, and the bank’s strategic vision.
  • Develop a multi‑year learning roadmap that supports employee onboarding, compliance, professional development, and leadership growth.
Career Pathing and Development Planning
  • Collaborate with department leaders to define career paths and competency models across the organization.
  • Build frameworks and tools that help employees visualize and navigate career progression opportunities.
  • Integrate career paths with performance and development planning systems to ensure consistent alignment and visibility.
LMS Ownership
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a modern LMS that integrates with existing systems (e.g., Paycom, RegU).
  • Administer and maintain the LMS, ensuring accessibility, usability, and robust reporting.
  • Develop and manage governance standards for course cataloging, tracking, and content updates.
Training Design and Facilitation
  • Design, develop, and facilitate engaging in‑person, virtual, and blended learning experiences for employees at all levels.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to translate technical and compliance content into digestible, learner‑friendly formats.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, and follow‑up tools to reinforce application of learning.
  • Facilitate leadership and professional development sessions through Core University and Values Based Leadership Academy.
Learning Engagement and Metrics
  • Monitor and analyze learning engagement data to identify trends, skill gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility on learning impact and participation.
  • Use data and feedback to evolve programs and demonstrate ROI of learning initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field or commensurate experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or talent management.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or managing an LMS.
