Job summary

Learner assistants serve snder the direction of the building principal and special education teacher, and provide assistance and motivation to special education students. They work closely with students with disabilities/special needs throughout the school day to help the students learn and succeed in all school settings. Learner assistants collaborate frequently with the special education teacher and general education (classroom) teachers to provide services to implement accommodations and modifications as specified in the student’s individualized education program.
