Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Lean Transformation Leader to join our Titanium Technologies team at the DeLisle Plant in Pass Christian, MS. The role uses the Chemours Business System, Lean, Six Sigma and digitalization to boost safety, quality and efficiency across site value streams.

You will mentor teams, run kaizen events, lead value‑stream mapping, and drive improvements with data analytics (Power BI, machine learning, AI). Mobility to other plants supports leadership growth across our network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience with 5 years implementing Lean methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Tier Daily Management, A3 problem solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership activities, kaizen events and 6S/Standard Work/Visual Management.
  • Facilitate strategic planning and milestone driven initiative execution across value streams.
  • Drive Operational Excellence by reducing waste and using data-driven gap analysis with cross‑functional teams.
  • Promote collaboration and leadership development through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide daily management rigor and dashboarding for KPIs including safety, cost of manufacture, yield, and OEE/Quality metrics.

Chemours is seeking a Lean Transformation Leader to join our growing Titanium Technologies (TT) team. This position will be available at the DeLisle Plant located in Pass Christian, MS and reports directly to the Senior Value Stream Leader. The Lean Transformation Leader is a key site role responsible for leveraging the Chemours Business System to enhance employee engagement, drive the acceleration of continuous improvement in operational excellence (including safety and environmental) as well as delivering strategic site initiatives across the site manufacturing value streams. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement with a lean mindset and experience using, and leading, the tools, systems, and methodologies. The role partners closely with the Chemours Business System Team site leadership, cross‑functional teams, other continuous improvement experts, and initiative owners to architect and execute improvement strategies, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and digitalization methodologies. This is an excellent role for candidates interested in future senior operations leadership roles (e.g Operations Manager, Plant Manager).

Candidates must be open to future relocation opportunities as part of the Plant Manager development pathway. Mobility is an important component of this role to support leadership growth and business needs across our plant network.

  • Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership: Lead site efforts, including leading, teaching and coaching continuous improvement and kaizen events, aligned with the Chemours Business System implementation (Kaizen Events, 6S, Standard Work, Visual Management, TPM, A3 Problem Solving, value stream mapping). Mentor and coach site employees in lean process methodologies and tools for personal development and to continuously improve business value, engagement and operational discipline. Utilize data analytics and digitalization (Power BI, machine learning, AI) to identify gaps and drive improvement plans. Implement and sustain systems that support ongoing improvement efforts. Educate site and business personnel, developing sustainable expertise in the organization.
  • Strategic Planning & Initiative Execution: Facilitate ideation sessions and partner with initiative owners to develop rigorous project milestones and timelines. Drive execution of improvement strategies, establish managing rituals including reporting progress versus key milestones.
  • Operational Excellence: Support all site value stream operations, including production, maintenance, laboratory, logistics, and materials, in driving the identification and reduction of waste through continuous improvement and leveraging the Chemours Business System. Drive data‑based processes to identify performance gaps through cross‑functional plant teams to identify and execute improvement plans. Ensure tracking and reporting in the corporate tracking system (WAVE). Ensure daily management rigor across the site value streams to meet daily, monthly, and annual goals.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with the Senior Value Stream Leader and cross‑functional teams for strategic site improvement and conflict resolution. Promote a learning organization by assessing and developing training to support identified gaps. Develop employees through coaching, training, recognition, and performance evaluations. Active member of the business and corporate continuous improvement network, sharing best practices and objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Provide leadership and support to enable strong daily management processes to monitor and respond to gaps for key value stream metrics including site safety, cost of manufacture (VCOM, FCOM, TCOM), yield, and production performance (OEE2, Quality Performance). Maintain expertise and provide coaching for site leadership and teams on dashboarding, KPI metrics, problem solving and countermeasures.
The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical field
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience with 5 of those years implementing Lean methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience leading Tier Daily Management, A3 problem solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events to improve operational performance
  • Technical & Analytical Capability: Ability to analyze data, develop recommendations, present findings, and train others on Lean tools
The following is preferred for this role:
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience working in PSM‑regulated, high‑hazard manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to identify waste, improve efficiency, and drive process optimization initiatives
  • Ability to think strategically, leverage data for decision‑making, and support long‑term business objectives
  • Experience partnering effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, and other functions to achieve results
  • Strong coaching and talent development capabilities, with a focus on operational discipline, process adherence, and serving as a role model for company values and leadership behaviors

Pay Range (in local currency): $141,120.00 - $220,500.00

Chemours Level: 28 Annual Bonus Target: 16%
