Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a Lean Technician in Belton, SC to lead Lean initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the facility. The role requires hands-on work using shop tools to design and implement practical solutions that enhance safety, flow, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will champion 6S, visual management, and standardization while collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and leadership to deliver measurable gains in productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong self-starter who can work independently and drive projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification.
• Willingness to complete Lean training and certification requirements.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
• Independently identify opportunities to improve safety, workflow, organization, efficiency, and employee productivity.
• Identify risks, root causes, and potential failure modes of processes and improvements.
• Design, build, and implement organization, storage, and visual management solutions using hands‑on methods.
• Construct and install shadow boards, tool holders, labeling systems, visual controls, and workplace organization systems.
