Job Description
About This Role

If you enjoy making things work better — finding smarter ways to build, organize, and improve — this role is for you. As part of GE Vernova's manufacturing team, you'll help us improve the way we work every day. Your ideas will show up on the shop floor, in the tools people use, and in the processes that keep production running smoothly.

What You'll Do
  • Participate in lean manufacturing activities including 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), Daily Management, Kaizen (continuous improvement) events, and Standard Work development.
  • Design and build racks, carts, and workstations in the moonshine shop (an on-site space where team members prototype and test improvement ideas).
  • Support continuous improvement projects from start to finish, staying on track with timelines.
  • Work alongside team members across the production floor to identify and solve problems.
  • Communicate clearly and openly with your team and other departments about project status and progress.
Schedule:

Monday- Friday working 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7am-4:30pm

What You Bring

You are someone who takes ownership of your work, communicates openly, and genuinely enjoys finding better ways to get things done.

Required:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time well to meet project deadlinesComfortable working as part of a team and taking direction
Preferred:
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methods (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Daily Management)
  • Interest in process improvement and building physical prototypes or workstation designs
Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role. You'll regularly walk the production floor, use your hands to build and design, lift up to 35 pounds on occasion, and use a computer for design and communication tasks. Close vision is required for reading and computer work.
