Job summary

Capilaux Aero is seeking a Lean Specialist to embed lean principles across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain. This high-impact role operates in a state-of-the-art MRO facility with a focus on reducing waste and improving efficiency in a regulated aerospace environment.

You will lead cross-functional projects, deliver training, and establish KPIs to quantify impact while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in lean, continuous improvement, operations or process improvement.
  • Aerospace, MRO or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations or similar.
  • Lean Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing / Project Management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from concept to delivery.
  • Deliver lean training and coaching across all levels of the organisation.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure performance and improvement impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality and supply chain.
  • Produce clear reporting for senior leadership on progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure all improvements align with aerospace safety and regulatory requirements.

Job description

A rapidly growing aerospace MRO organisation supporting both commercial and military customers is seeking a Lean Specialist to help drive operational excellence across engine and component overhaul operations.

This is a high-impact role within a state-of-the-art MRO facility, where lean thinking, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement are critical to success.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in embedding lean principles across engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams—helping to improve efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks
  • Implement lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and JIT
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from concept to delivery
  • Deliver lean training and coaching across all levels of the organisation
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure performance and improvement impact
  • Drive waste reduction across inventory, motion, waiting time and rework
  • Develop standardised work instructions to improve consistency and quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality and supply chain
  • Produce clear reporting for senior leadership on progress and outcomes
  • Ensure all improvements align with aerospace safety and regulatory requirements
  • 3–5 years’ experience in lean, continuous improvement, operations or process improvement
  • Aerospace, MRO or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing / Project Management certification preferred
  • Proven hands‑on experience delivering measurable improvement initiatives
  • Confident working with data, metrics and performance dashboards
