Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Houston, TX to analyze production issues, lead Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and support quality systems. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to enhance productivity and product quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires a BS in an engineering field and 3+ years of related experience, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing/engineering field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, process, production, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root‑cause analysis, and quality systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with Excel, ERP systems, and manufacturing data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production issues, equipment downtime, scrap, and defects to identify solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies.
• Support quality systems, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Monitor manufacturing performance metrics, including yield, scrap, and throughput.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, FMEAs, control plans, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve productivity and product quality.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and production constraints.
• Support audits, process validations, and compliance with industry standards.
