Job summary

ZEISS in Maple Grove, MN is seeking aQuality Engineer to drive Lean initiatives and continuous improvement across manufacturing and logistics. You will lead 6S, value stream mapping, DMAIC, PDCA projects, perform root cause analysis, and maintain alignment with the QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025).

You’ll collaborate with IMT Product Center and production teams to deliver measurable efficiency gains. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–5 years of quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Continuous Improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (6S, VSM, DMAIC, PDCA).
• Develop and implement process improvements including process flow mapping and standard work.
• Serve as liaison to Global Lean Team to deploy standardized Lean methodologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive CAPA to closure.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, warehouse, procurement, quality, and production staff to implement CI strategies.
• Provide training and hands-on support on continuous improvement and Lean tools.
• Conduct 6S audits, ISO audits, and process confirmations; communicate results and drive closure.
• Support development, maintenance, and improvement of the QMS (ISO 9001, 14001, 17025).
