Job summary

Shape Corp. is seeking an operations leader to ensure Safety, Quality and Delivery KPIs are met on a production line. You will manage daily tasks, guard standard work, and mentor team members to drive performance.

This role emphasizes problem solving, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement, with a focus on staffing, pre-shift briefings, and cross-shift coordination to maintain smooth, compliant production.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a plant production line or area.
• Ability to track and improve KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, waste).
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production for a line/area on one shift.
• Support and track KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and waste.
• Promote Shape's core values and systems.
• Lead problem solving and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement standardized work within APTs.
• Ensure validated processes are followed in APTs.
• Champion continuous improvement and mentor team leaders.
• Set direction and hold staff accountable to performance standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations of direct and indirect associates.
• Assess development needs and mentor staff.
• Manage staffing for area and escalate shortages.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Participate in Top5 daily and provide feedback.
• Review production results and respond to customer issues or equipment stoppages.
• Execute routine inspections to review safety and quality compliance.
• Coordinate communication/documentation between shifts.
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance.
• Identify back-ups to manage key tasks when absent.
• Additional tasks as directed by the leader.
