Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Diplomacy, tact, and leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with lean methodologies.
• Experience with manufacturing management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study production schedules and estimate manpower requirements to meet schedules.
• Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate the manufacturing processes.
• Train and mentor team leaders on various job aspects including safety, quality, and operational duties.
• Drive cost reduction and high performance using lean methodologies.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including orientations, training, discipline, directing work, assessing work performance, coaching, developing, and motivating team members.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
