Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Supervisor / Workplace Organization Pillar Lead in Rocky Mount to drive daily manufacturing execution and implement Workplace Organization on the model line. You will lead production teams, apply lean methods, and develop capability in the Cornerstone Production System.

The role requires strong leadership, continuous improvement experience, and the ability to learn and apply structured methods on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must have experience leading manufacturing operations and teams.
• Proven ability to coach employees on the floor.
• Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement, and problem solving.
• Strong communication, organization, and accountability.
• Ability to learn new methods and translate training to floor execution.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing execution with focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and people.
• Own Workplace Organization implementation and performance in the model-line area.
• Establish team roles, zone ownership, baseline conditions, Activity Boards and execution plans.
• Lead and coach teams in 5S, red tagging, visual management and workplace standards.
• Identify workplace losses and non-value-added activities.
• Apply Muda/Mura/Muri analysis to identify waste and variation.
• Support time observations and VAA/NVAA analysis.
• Partner with Process Engineer to use Yamazumi/work-balance analysis for workload balance.
• Develop, implement and sustain standard work and visual work instructions.
• Improve ergonomics and operator movement.
• Lead daily Activity Board reviews with countermeasures and closure dates.
• Coach Team Leaders and employees in problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Verify implementation and sustainment through audits and performance results.
