Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple shifts and production teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience implementing Lean tools and driving measurable operational improvements.
• Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
• Experience with production scheduling, labor planning, KPIs, quality systems, and cost management.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing and assembly operations across two shifts.
• Ensure production schedules, customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Establish clear production priorities and communicate expectations to supervisors.
• Monitor production performance, labor utilization, throughput, scrap, downtime, and OEE.
• Identify and resolve constraints, bottlenecks, and workflow issues.
• Ensure effective staffing, training, and cross-training.
• Partner with Maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Establish and track KPIs and use data to drive decisions.
• Develop standardized processes and ensure adherence to standard work.
• Engage employees in identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Maintain safety culture and compliance with OSHA.
• Drive accountability for safe practices, housekeeping, PPE, and hazard identification.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Quality to meet requirements and drive CAPA actions.
• Oversee budgeting and capacity planning; seek profitability improvements.
