Job summary

MOS Plastics Inc., a Currier company, seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to drive process design, documentation, and execution in our production department. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work with equipment, troubleshooting, and applying lean manufacturing to healthcare-focused precision molding and assembly.

You will observe on the floor, build standard work, run trials and DOEs, lead SMED and OEE initiatives, validate processes, and train Supervisors and operators to deploy

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean manufacturing to manufacturing environments.
• Ability to design stations and layouts for efficient flow.
• Familiarity with standard work, 5S, and kaizen events.

Responsibilities

• Observe machines and bases decisions on direct observation.
• Run time observations and build standard work charts.
• Balance the line by calculating takt and manpower.
• Design stations and layouts in SolidWorks for scale and walk paths.
• Incorporate error-proofing to prevent defects.
• Run trials and DOE to establish repeatable process windows.
• Lead SMED, cycle time and OEE improvement projects.
• Own IQ/OQ/PQ validation, capability studies and Gage R&R.
• Lead root-cause analysis (5 Why, A3) and verify effectiveness.
• Train Supervisors, Team Leaders and operators on deployed processes.
• Respond to floor escalations on the shift at the machine.
