Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Buckeye, AZ is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on 2nd shift. You will coach staff, manage daily KPIs, plan staffing, and implement Lean improvements under the Plant Manager guidance.

The role requires 5 years of management experience in industrial manufacturing, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing software. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, management, engineering or related field.
• 5 years of management experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; MS Office and manufacturing software experience.
• Lean manufacturing principles knowledge required.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates; plan, monitor, and schedule work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to the team to meet daily KPI targets through planning and execution.
• Coach and train team members; manage staffing plans and scheduling.
• Maintain employee morale and motivate the team through clear communication.
• Lead Lean initiatives under Plant Manager guidance to improve processes.
• Oversee time and attendance, production data, and reporting.
• Assist with monthly physical inventory as directed by Plant Manager.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end production for daily operations and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
