Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Kinston, NC to drive the application and enhancement of manufacturing systems with a Six Sigma mindset and Lean practices. The role focuses on process control, quality, and safety across all production phases.

The engineer will provide technical support, collaborate with facilities and main customers, and lead projects from concept through validation and implementation, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Associates Degree required.
• Equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering discipline required.
• Lean Sigma experience with four (4) years of practical application a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply and support lean manufacturing initiatives, identifying reduction opportunities through process improvements, tuning of configurations, or other strategies.
• Ability to specify, test and design machine systems and components, including the ability to write and revise software configurations.
• Plan, schedule, and perform project details; follow-up on new and revised improvements to assure proper implementation.
• Coordinate the testing of new systems before release to production.
• Maintain effective communication and working relations with corporate, customer, and supplier personnel.
