Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Temple, TX to optimize production processes, map current and future states, and drive continuous improvement across cross‑functional teams.

The candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, have 1–3 years of relevant experience, travel up to 25%, and be proficient in AutoCAD and Excel with a strong Lean mindset to ensure quality is built in from the start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in manufacturing, quality, or production support.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Experience as a quality or manufacturing engineer in a mission critical space.

Responsibilities

• Apply and train VSM, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S skills to map processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead factory initiatives around safety, quality, CI, lean manufacturing, mistake proofing, and root cause actions.
• Daily presence on the manufacturing floor to observe work, engage technicians, verify process adherence, and resolve issues.
• Develop capacity improvement plans and support capital planning.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and adherence to the quality program.
• Audits work performance to standard operating procedures and sustains results.
