Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Lean Manager to support the Battery Energy Storage Solutions Group and project teams. This role involves defining and executing lean agendas, working across staff levels in a dynamic environment, with 50% remote work and 50% travel.

You will lead improvement events, coach teams in Kaizen, and promote 5S and Production Preparation Processes while collaborating with leaders to recognize contributions and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management, engineering, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years in construction or manufacturing with continuous improvement experience.
• Minimum three years applying lean methods in construction or manufacturing environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project leadership to implement lean approaches and gain buy-in.
• Coach teams in continuous improvement and Kaizen practices onsite.
• Lead improvement events and ensure follow-up execution across projects.
• Develop Production Preparation Processes for new scopes of work.
• Support 5S implementation with field leaders and trades.
