Job Description Summary

The Flight Deck Lean Leader plays an integral role in executing the Company’s priorities and lean transformation. The Flight Deck Leader is a project manager, liaison, lean technician, and lean coach for executing the company’s highest priorities. This position requires a toolbox focused on project management, lean, and facilitation skills to develop a culture of action and continuous improvement. Flight Deck refers to our Lean process for GE Aerospace and ERAC.

ERAC, Employers Reassurance Corporation, is a corporate holding of GE Aerospace supporting long-term care insurance, structured settlements, life insurance, and other products.

This role can be in-office or remote, US only.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • The Flight Deck Leader supports and collaborates with the Leader of Strategy and Execution and leadership to:
  • Partner with teams to execute key strategies and initiatives with a bias to action and lean mindset;
  • Support the establishment and implementation of procedures, policies, and strategies to ensure consistency and standardization of a company-wide LEAN program;
  • Serve as a facilitator, educator, advocate, and consultant for Lean, promoting understanding and application of Lean principles and tools across the business, including:
    • Collaborating with functional teams to develop lean culture and drive continuous improvement aligned with company initiatives;
    • Applying lean tools in managing and executing key priorities;
    • Encouraging learning and risk-taking for continuous improvement;
    • Practicing and role modeling project management and lean principles and tools;
    • Maintaining proficiency in latest Lean approaches through networking, conferences, and external resources.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience solving problems and transforming business performance through project management and Lean techniques;
  • Lean practitioner capable of facilitating problem-solving events and coaching core tools such as Daily Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, etc.;
  • Project management skills with experience in agile methodologies;
  • Proven effectiveness in driving outcomes, being accountable, trustworthy, and credible;
  • Change agent able to demonstrate the value of lean and foster cultural change;
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable with constructive conflict;
  • Critical thinker capable of bringing others along, even with conflicting priorities.

The position offers a salary range of $113,200 to $151,000 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits including health, retirement, tuition assistance, and more. GE Aerospace promotes equal employment opportunity and requires legal authorization to work in the US. Relocation assistance is provided. This is a remote, full-time position at the Mid-Senior level in Management and Manufacturing within the IT Services and IT Consulting industries.
