Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting in Duncan, SC is seeking a skilled manufacturing technician to support injection molding and secondary molding operations. You will help startups/shutdowns, optimize processes, and work with engineers to improve part quality and yield while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes adherence to lean manufacturing principles, documentation, and collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in plastics technology preferred; or minimum of three years’ experience in processing thermoplastics.
• Solid understanding of SPC concepts and practice.
• Excellent interpersonal/team skills with strong written and verbal skills.
• Willingness to advance skills through on-the-job training and additional schooling.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for manufacturing in molding and secondary molding processes.
• Performs start-up and shutdown of plastic injection molding machines and ensures subsystems are operational.
• Develops and documents standardized processes for various operations; conducts tests and experiments as needed.
