Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive Lean and operational excellence across branches. You will lead improvement initiatives, conduct Gemba walks, and develop standardized work while partnering with front-line teams to achieve measurable results.

The role blends hands-on on-site work with analytical responsibilities, focusing on process standardization, KPI tracking, and training to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–3 years of operations or process improvement experience preferred.
• Exposure to Lean, continuous improvement, or problem-solving concepts (Kaizen, A3, standard work).
• Experience supporting improvement initiatives, documenting processes, or cross-functional projects.
• Comfortable working with basic data, metrics, or performance indicators.
• Impactful work influencing operations, efficiency, and customer experience across branches.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, incl. Kaizen events and standard work.
• Participate in safety, quality, productivity improvement projects.
• Conduct on-site assessments and Gemba walks to identify gaps.
• Analyze current processes and design future-state workflows.
• Develop SOPs, visual management tools, job aids, and training docs.
• Support rollout of new processes and ensure adoption.
