Job summary

PCC Airfoils - SMP manufactures military and commercial turbine blades and vanes for aircraft and land-based applications, using nickel and cobalt super alloys. The division operates two plants in Wickliffe, OH and Eastlake, OH, and is part of Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC).

The role supports lean manufacturing and 6S project implementation within the facilities engineering group, performing operational studies and data-driven analysis to drive continuous improvement and waste reduction.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 6S methodology, along with process improvement tools.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel; Microsoft products.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

Perform operational studies and engineering analysis.
Assist in lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement implementation.
Conduct and participate in 6S audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Identifying and recommending process improvements for specified projects.
Analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop 6S solutions.
Collect and analyze data related to 6S implementation to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
Assist in other lean projects, including process improvement and root cause analysis.
Utilize lean manufacturing skills to cut down waste and movement with key operations.
Taking ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
