Job summary

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies in Findlay, OH is seeking a Lean Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing setting. Qualifications

  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen.
  • Strong Excel/Office skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to influence across levels.
  • Self-motivated with ability to independently drive projects and improvements.

Lean Engineer
Responsibilities
  • Lead Kaizen events, process improvement projects, and value stream initiatives that drive measurable business results.
  • Partner with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to identify and eliminate waste throughout the organization.
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on Lean principles, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement best practices.
  • Analyze operational performance data and use Lean methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams and effectively communicate project goals, progress, and results to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Develop and sustain standard work, visual management systems, and process documentation using Microsoft Office tools and reporting systems.
  • Serve as a champion for continuous improvement by promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to independently lead projects and drive change.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience will also be considered.
