Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a hands-on DBS Engineer Intern to drive operational excellence on the shop floor through Danaher's DBS and Lean principles. You will prototype, test, and implement improvements on manufacturing and supply chain processes, using data, time studies, and visual controls to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with hands-on process improvement experience.
• Familiarity with Lean tools and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience prototyping, testing, and iterating on solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test process improvements using Lean methods.
• Lead rapid prototyping sessions on the shop floor.
• Apply time studies, layout optimization, and capacity modeling to improve flow.
• Facilitate Kaizen events with operators and engineers to drive improvements.
• Create data-driven solutions using analysis and simulations to boost performance.
• Support Hoshin Kanri alignment by translating goals into projects.
• Develop and maintain standard work and visual controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design production systems.
• Mentor peers in lean thinking and DBS tools on the job.
• Track KPIs to ensure sustained improvements.
