Job summary

Steel Tech USA is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all site construction activities across projects in the Southern United States. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing field operations, skilled in planning and scheduling, and a solid understanding of Lean Construction principles.

You will read construction drawings, supervise subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years supervising commercial, institutional, or industrial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience with cold-formed steel (CFS) construction is preferred.
• Proficiency with CM software: Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project, Primavera P6.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and specs.
• Supervise subcontractors and crews; monitor productivity and resolve field issues.
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs and safety audits; enforce OSHA standards.
• Coordinate just-in-time delivery to support Lean site logistics.
• Develop and maintain lookahead schedules; coordinate with PM and Scheduler.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings and Last Planner System sessions.
• Identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts.
• Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and improve workflow.
• Interpret design specs and conduct field inspections.
• Support punch list management and project closeout.
• Maintain daily field reports and real-time updates.
