Job summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. seeks a hands-on Continuous Improvement & Automation Engineer to identify, assess, and implement solutions reducing waste and improving manufacturing performance in a regulated Oral Solid Dosage environment.

You will lead projects through analysis, solution development, automation build, training, implementation, and sustainment, delivering approved benefits with Finance validation and compliant results.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or related discipline is required.
• 2-3 years of pharma industry experience; 2 years supporting OSD or tableting/compression.

Responsibilities

• Personally perform process studies, time studies, waste assessments, and bottleneck analysis to identify improvement and automation opportunities.
• Develop opportunity assessments with baseline, benefits, cost, risk, and sustainment approach.
• Present opportunities to Site Leadership Team for prioritization and sponsorship; SLT controls priority and resources.
• Own approved projects from analysis through solution build, training, implementation, benefit realization, and sustainment.
• Develop and deploy dashboards and automation tools (Power BI, Power Automate, data collection) to cut non-value work.
• Improve OEE, setup/changeover time, labor productivity, throughput, and capacity across manufacturing, labs, offices, and warehouse operations.
• Partner with Finance to validate benefits and maintain a single view of project value.
• Establish process ownership, standard work, training, controls, and documentation for project closure.
• Ensure improvements comply with GMP, data integrity, safety, quality, change-control, and FDA validation requirements.
