We are looking for you to carry out a full range of leak detection activities whilst providing a first-class service to our customers. Responding to alarms and changes in statistical data, you’ll have a fully equipped van, the training necessary to conduct the work, and travel to the areas within the water network where potential leaks have been identified in order to locate and move them to be resolved within agreed timescales.

This is a reactive and proactive field-based role; you’ll support with planned maintenance and be the first on the scene to identify unexpected leaks. Developing your leak detection skills every day, you’ll be trained to use specialist electronic means and data to locate hidden leaks on our water network. When you join the team, you’ll be provided with plenty of hands‑on training and job shadowing and work towards becoming NRSWA accredited & LTO trained (licence to operate).

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:
  • Personal private health care
  • 26 days annual leave – rising with length of service
  • Access to a company vehicle, tools and all uniform and PPE
  • Competitive pension scheme – Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 7%

  • Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.
What does it take to be a Leakage Field Technician?

You’ll be enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious with a real desire to drive your career forward and have a passion for hands‑on work and problem solving. Keen to learn new things with excellent customer service skills and a reasonable knowledge of use of IT equipment such as tablets and mobile phones, you’ll be a good communicator with a desire to make a solid contribution to your team.

Previous operational leakage experience including leak detection, resolving customer supply pipe leaks, distribution and leakage repair is advantageous but not necessary, as full training will be given. A willingness to work at nights and weekends as required from time to time is also essential to this role.
