Job summary

Cable Pipe and Leak Detection is hiring an Underground Leak Technician. You will locate underground slab leaks, external water leaks, gas leaks, and perform utility locating. Training is provided and a company vehicle is provided post-training.

A background in plumbing or construction helps, with on-call rotations after training. This is a full‑time on-site role with competitive pay. Paid training spans 9–12 weeks, with tools, equipment, uniforms, and medical insurance included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid State driver's license with an acceptable MVR record.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment (e.g., shovels, screwdrivers, wrenches).
• Experience in plumbing, home inspections, or construction required.
• Comfort with sewer cameras and ability to navigate crawl/attic spaces.
• Knowledge of OSHA, state, and city/municipality safety requirements preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

As part of our team, you'll perform inspections locating underground slab leaks, external water leaks, gas leaks and utility locating. This role is perfect for those with a background in plumbing, construction, or related trades. Your skills in meticulous investigation and problem-solving will be crucial in delivering quality service. The schedule includes weekdays during training, potentially shifting to include a weekend day post-training. Participation in after-hours on-call service rotation is required.
